The Big Mac Fly Fishers Club recently a digital microscope camera donated by Cabela’s to help members perfect their fly-tying skills during the club’s monthly meeting.
The club also received some donated fly-tying materials in return for its work with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and others in promoting fishing in western Nebraska.
The club reminds area anglers that some of the year’s best fishing will start this month and continue through the fall and winter.
In addition to its regular meetings, club members participate in outings, fishing clinics, fly-tying demonstrations, fish fry events, and help new members hone their fishing and fly-tying skills.
The club meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month in the Visitors Center near Kingsley Dam. Those interested may attend one of meetings, or contact members Jerry Sutton, 308-874-5026; Gene Harmon, 970-466-0359; Lynn Davis, 308-284-4670; Teresa Davis, 308-284-8262; or Ted Slagle, 308-284-2130.
